In a new television commercial airing throughout the Presidents Day weekend, the Knights of Columbus pointed out the unique relationship between God and many of America’s past commanders in chief. Scroll down to see the entire commercial.

The 60-second spot has run in previous years; however, Supreme Knight Carl Anderson explained why his organization believes the message this ad contains is still relevant.

“The idea that our rights come from God and that religion has a role to play in our nation’s public life is not partisan or sectarian,” he said, “it is quintessentially American. Presidents Day is an excellent opportunity to remind Americans that God is — and has always been — foundational to this country and to our system of ordered liberty.”

If we are going to be serious about fighting for freedom and stopping the big government agenda of the left, we need to get trained. Americans for Prosperity Foundation’s Grassroots Leadership Academy is a state-of-the-art training program for citizen activists who want to make a difference at the federal, state, and local level. Grassroots Leadership Academy courses will give you the real, practical skills necessary to recruit volunteers, speak to the media, organize events and communities, and lead a grassroots issue campaign.

We are starting our very first Grassroots Leadership Academy class on Thursday, February 26th from 6:00-8:00pm in our Fort Collins office. Sessions will continue every other Thursday for a total of six sessions over a twelve week period.

For more information, see this video from the Grassroots Leadership Academy.

If you are interested in attending this class, please respond to this email by the end of the day tomorrow and we can get you signed up.

If you are interested in a future session, please let me know and I will keep you in the loop on future offerings. Continue reading
