Monthly Archives: May 2017

June is almost here and it’s time for the monthly Reagan Club get-together. On Thursday, June 1st, we will be hearing from Greg Brophy, who will provide insight on Amendment 71 and other current issues.

Senator Brophy was a leading force in the passage of Amendment 71, also known as the ‘Raise the Bar’ amendment, which has made it more challenging for the initiative process to produce changes to our state’s Constitution. Amendment proposals now require signatures of support from Senatorial Districts statewide, eliminating the ability of the more populous areas to dictate Constitutional changes without having statewide support. Amendment 71 had a broad base of supporters from all political parties and is a fair and common sense amendment.

The June 1st meeting will be held at Amazing Grace Church at 541 E 99th Pl. Thornton, CO. Doors open at 6:00PM-meetings usually end at 8:30PM.

Wear your Reagan buttons and be ready to win more Reagan bucks in our ongoing contest!

There is still time to get early bird tickets for $15 before Tuesday, May 30th. Early registration is encouraged, and you can get an additional ten Reagan Bucks by registering early!
